PointsBet awarded sports betting supplier licence in Virginia

PointsBet Holdings has been awarded a temporary supplier licence by the Virginia Lottery, to offer online sports wagering in Virginia thanks to an exclusive partnership agreement with Colonia Downs Group.

Since PointsBet is the official, exclusive sports betting partner of NBC Sports, this partnership will see the bookmaker use NBC Sports’ television and digital assets to promote its brand and wagering services in Virginia.

As part of the agreement, NBC Sports provides year-round, multi-platform media and marketing opportunities across its portfolio of events, including multiplatform gameday integrations across NBC Sports Washington, regional broadcast home to the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals.

Additionally, PointsBet’s full Spanish-language functionality is set to reach Hispanic sports fans through Telemundo Deportes and Telemundo broadcast stations.
